Refined okimono in the style of a netsuke, finely carved, depicting a newborn trying to crawl and stand up Signed Gyokuzan in red lacquer under the base. It is in very good condition overall with minor natural veining and wear consistent with age. Japanese object from the Meiji period The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
