Refined okimono carved from a single block of ivory depicting a standing wise man meditating with his hands behind his back, scanning the horizon Signed Meiho in red lacquer under the base It is in excellent general condition with natural veins and wear compatible with the era, it has a small defect at the tip of the beard due to the natural expansion of the material Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU: This item CANNOT be sold outside the EU.
