Okimono (1) - Ivory - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

Curious okimono depicting a lumberjack attacked by a wolf trying to defend himself with his axe. In excellent general condition, it has a small hole at the bottom, presumably to fix it to a base. The item was produced prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity that will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for customers outside the EU: This lot CANNOT be sold outside the EU.
