Here is a remarkable bronze okimono of a tiger, made by a recognized artist Hoshu. Very delicate and lively designed tiger, finely cast, certainly one masterpiece, done in a very realistic way and with great details. The roaring animal radiates power and energy, climbing over the rock hitted by foaming waves, showing perfect balance. With inlaid stripes, the powerful limbs outstretched and with large paws, the snarling face with ferocious jaws open, states its supremacy. Marked with a square cartouche, at the side. Measurements: 42 x 22 x 28 cm Very good condition, there are signs of age and wear from normal use, stains, scratches, rubbings, marks; please, see pictures for actual condition.
