Exceptional okimono sculpted from a single block of ivory, depicting a father with two children playing with some typical toys. Very high quality item. In excellent condition overall, with a beautiful natural patina. Minimal wear and tear and veining consistent with age. Signed on the underside. Weight: 960 g. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to the buyer. Very important note for bidders outside the EU.
