Okimono - Elephant ivory - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

Very important note for bidders outside the EU: This item CANNOT be sold outside the EU. Refined okimono depicting Sennin sitting on a rock who, surprised by a dragon, raises his fan. At his feet you can see a large teapot and a book. Signed under the base. It is in good general condition with wear consistent with the period, you can see traces of glue between the fan and the hand but no breakages. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
