Very fine okimono depicting an old farmer holding a basket full of bunches of grapes. Very high quality item. In good condition overall with minimal wear and veining consistent with its age, restoration on the feet as marked in red in the photos. Signed on the underside. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
