Okimono - Elephant ivory - Old man with basket of fish and seafood - Signed - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

Fine okimono depicting a fisherman showing a rich basket of seafood. Signed on the underside. It is in very good condition overall with natural veining and wear consistent with age. Japanese object from the Meiji period. The item was made prior to 1947, and is therefore in compliance with European Union regulations regarding the sale of ivory.
