Exceptional tusk carved in bas-relief with two macaques sitting on a trunk while playing with a giant grasshopper, one of the two very fearful, holding firmly to the trunk and keeping his distance, the other consciously looking at the grasshopper with attention, it could almost become an excellent snack . Carving quality of the highest level, from the hair to the flowers, to the branches, to the trunk, to the expressions of the two macaques, with an extraordinary ivory patina. Original wooden base, entirely carved. Square Masayoshi signature engraved on the side. In very good condition. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped within 1 or at most 2 business days from the day of payment.
