Rare okimono in monobloc elephant ivory depicting a Yamabuchi, hermit monk of the mountains in the company of his Karasutengu and the scroll held in his right hand, just delivered by the Tengu. Legend has it that this kind of Tengu were their messengers and their servants. Rare and particular sculpture obtained from the same block rich in details and details of excellent workmanship. Signed Gyokuichi. Very good condition The lot will be carefully packed and shipped within 1 or maximum 2 working days from the day of payment. The shipping price includes delivery via UPS, TNT, DHL or SDA courier (depending on the lot destination) with full insurance and professional packaging. The original certificate compiled by Luca Mastromauro, Japanese art expert number 2617 registered at the Milan Chamber of Commerce, will be sent together with the lot.
