Okimono - Elephant ivory - Raro soggetto completo di tutte e tre le geishe durante la danza del ventaglio - Firma Yamagyoku - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

Rare okimono composed of a group in elephant ivory depicting the fan dance with the figure in the centre dancing, supported by the two geishas seated on the sides playing the Tsutsumi drum and the Japanese Shamisen guitar. Very fine craftsmanship, with finely carved details made with extreme attention. Signature engraved under the base Yamagyoku. Dimensions of each sculpture: 8. 5 cm / 12 cm / 8 cm. Excellent condition - the index finger of the geisha dancer with the fan has been restored - see photos. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped within 1 or at most 2 business days from the day of payment. The shipping price includes delivery via UPS, TNT, DHL or SDA courier (depending on destination address) with full insurance and professional packaging. Original certificate compiled by Luca Mastromauro, an expert in Japanese art, registered with Milan Chamber of Commerce (number: 2617) , which will be sent with the lot. Copy of Certificate of Antiquity compliant with the international CITES rules drawn up by the CE. S. AR Archaeometric Study Centre based in London, Milan and Rome, together with the item.
