Okimono - ivory - Gama sennin 蝦蟇仙人 (Toad Immortal) - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) . Fine okimono depicting Gama Sennin with a toad on his shoulders and a basket in his hand. The Sennin has a beautiful cheerful expression. In good condition overall, with a restoration on the foot, as marked in red in the photos. Japanese artefact from the Meiji period.
