Old Babylonian Baked Clay Provenanced Babylonian Cuneiform Letter - 10.5×5.8×2.7 cm

A complete Old Babylonian pillow-shaped clay tablet with many lines of cuneiform writing front and back. Very Fine condition; some surface damage and several cracks but the fabric is stable. 1900-1700 BC. Provenance: From a British 1980’s-1990’s collection of cuneiform which was examined in the 1980s by Professor Lambert, Professor of Archaeology at Birmingham University. There is an accompanying signed note stating: “Old Babylonian letter about land and other things, c. 1900-1700 BC. Some damage. Important information.
