Early 20th C. oil on canvas, painted by Windsor VT artist Louis Frieda, after Maxfield Parrish's "Old King Cole" mural in the King Cole Bar at the St. Regis Hotel, NYC. This painting is cited in "Maxfield Parrish, a Retrospective," by L.S. Cutler, as having hung in the undertaker's shop in Windsor, VT. The painting descended through undertaker's family. Stretcher 26" x 102”; with frame: 29” x 105”
Condition Report: small pin-point puncture lower right corner. Gilt and gesso loss to frame.
