Old Mexican Red Ware, Folk Art, Zig Zag Pattern
This is an early 20th Century, Mexican Folk Art pot. It is hand thrown, hand decorated polychrome, redware pot, 6" tall, with an open top 4 1/2" in diameter, and a maximum diameter of 7". It has 2 small attached, ear handles near the top. Black, white, blue, green, and yellow decoration consists of bands, zig zags, and dots, in an American/Mexican Indian motif. Has a few glaze scrapes and is signed "Mexico" on the side, near the top. In excellent, age worn condition.
