Description:An authentic hand-woven Navajo rug with selvedge edge, natural wools and a design of arrow and eagle feathers. It has a real wild west look and feel. The rug most likely dates from the 1930’s or 1940’s

Navajo natural wools were used to weave this rug with a design of stepped pyramids and eye dazzling geometrics. There are arrow designs at the top and bottom. Eagle feathers were woven into the midpoints. The rug is framed with a black border. Red squares were used to add a punch of color. The weaving is very tight and flat.

MEASUREMENTS

65 ½” (166.4 cm) long x 44 1/2” (113.0 cm) wide. Weighs 6 lbs 1 oz (2750 g)

CONDITION

The are loose threads on the selvedge edges. The four corners show the most wear but it is still in fine condition. The rug is tightly woven. There is no fading or bleeding.

A large nice rug to add a note of design and artistry to your western home design. You could use the rug in many different decors from Lodge or Southwest to Arts and Crafts.
