Wall painting, 1956. Mural for Frederiksberg Bogtrykkeri, Howitzvej 51. The painting has been professionally dismantled and is now fixed on three panels/boxes measuring approx. 210×150 x 7 cm. each. (3)

Please notice the work has been dismantled from a wall and the recto side is not visible.

The mural was completed in 1956 at the request of the former owner of Frederiksberg Bogtrykkeri, Jørgen Nielsen, and removed in 2006 in connection with the printing office's relocation from the address. In the same room was a wall decoration by Frede Christoffersen (“Day and night”, 1956), the removal of which is the subject of conservator Karin Calissendorff's final thesis from the Conservatory School's Department of Monumental Art, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, 2007.

The painting was declared worthy of preservation by the Danish Academy Board.

Conservator Karin Calissendorff's report on the dismounting of the painting by Frede Christoffersen is enclosed. This painting has undergone the same treat.
