Omega for the US Navy
Ref. ST 145.012, chronograph, minutes and hours counters, black dial, orange chronograph-hand, calibre 321; “Speedmaster Professional”, so-called “Ultraman”; stainless steel

Stainless steel, manual-winding, vertical tonneau-shaped, gentleman’s wristwatch, with subsidiary seconds at 9 and three horological complications:
• 1/5 second chronograph (activated by the two round-shaped push-pieces located on the case-band) with orange chronograph hand and tachometric scale graduated on the bezel for 500 units per hour
• Half-instantaneous 30-minute counter (subsidiary dial at 3 o’clock)
• Dragging 12-hour counter (subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock)

Case: three-piece, polished and satin-finished, water-resistant with screwed case-back; polished crown; stainless steel bezel with black insert.

Case-back stamped in the centre with the Omega logo, the seahorse and the name “speedmaster”.

Dial: black colour, with radiating luminous indexes, black colour auxiliary dials with white painted suspended Arabic numerals; white painted luminescent “Bâton” hands and orange chronograph-hand.

Movement: calibre 321 (based on Lemania 2310), manual-winding, 17 jewels; movement protected inside a soft iron calotte (protective container) against magnetic fields.

The Certificate of Authenticity (No. 31'181), dated July 20, 2022, mentioned that this watch was delivered on October 15, 1968, to the US Navy; with the remarks: “Special model fitted with an orange chronograph hand”.
