This model played a role in history, on October 5, 1970, astronaut Thomas Stafford personally handed the Snoopy Award to Hans Widmer, OMEGA’s technical manager. NASA astronauts award this prize to companies that make an exceptional contribution to the success of space flights. At the heart of this chronograph is OMEGA’s mechanical calibre 1861 with 18 jewels, with a high-grade rhodium-plated finish on the movement, the legendary manual-winding movement.
