Original OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch “Apollo VII" Ref. 35971100, which is one of OMEGA’s most iconic timepieces. The Speedmaster Professional Missions Apollo VII is part of the 1997-1998 Speedmaster Missions collection, displaying a patch at 9 o'clock commemorating the mission accomplished from October 11 to October 22, 1968 by Walter M. Schirra, Don F. Eisele and R. Walter. At the heart of this chronograph is OMEGA’s mechanical calibre 1861 with 18 jewels, with a high-grade rhodium-plated finish on the movement, the legendary manual-winding movement. Which runs great and all functions work as expected. Simple and rugged in design, perfectly protected against shocks, magnetism and temperature variations. This "space watch" provides hour and minute display with small second hand; a chronograph for measuring elapsed times from 1/5 of second to 12 hours with: a 60-second totalizer (60 seconds hand) , a 30-minute totalizer and a 12-hour totalizer. The black bezel, with its tachymetric scale, is mounted on a 42mm stainless steel case excluding the crown and 48mm from lug to lug is in very good condition throughout, with minor surface scratches that are to be expected on any watch of this age. The back lid signed "Flight-Qualified By Nasa For All Manned Space Missions", "The First Watch Worn On The Moon". The winding crown is completely original and correctly signed with the famous “Omega” logo.
