Opal in Matrix Carving of a Bear Catching a Fish

Natural deposits of cream to orange opal with hints of green are are utilized in this design to depict salmon swimming in a stream. The bear clutches a salmon in his paw as he stands upon a rock outcrop. The opal which originates from this region is a result of volcanic activity and mixture of mineralized waters mixed with volcanic ash. Measuring 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 6 in
