The head mark with "A" and manufacturer's stamp "VM" (Vincenz Mayer) on the bottom at the back, the hallmarks "A", "A" on the slightly bulbous vertical pin. A round appliqué with the double-headed eagle in fine relief and the manufacturer's name "Vinc. Mayer's Söhne Wien", next to a "G", in the centre at the back. War decoration 8 ct. gold. A few minor chips in the black feathers, signs of age and wear. Width 8.9 cm, weight 109 g. A rare find in good condition.Condition: II
