Mittelfeldteppich mit einem allover Wabenmuster in warmen und erdigen Farben. Die ins himbeerfarben gehende Hauptbordüre ist mit einem Muster aus stilisierten Ästen und Palmetten durchgemustert, ca. 490.000 Knoten pro qm. Seide auf Baumwolle, die Längskanten sind mit beigefarbener Seide 3-fach umwickelt.
Erhaltungszustand: Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, z.B. ist der Flor insgesamt dünn und tlw. bis zum Grundgewebe abgelaufen, besch. u.a. Schäden im Bereich der Fransen und Kanten.

| Oriental silk carpet. KESHAN/PERSIA, 19th century, approx. 172x111 cm. A field carpet with an all-over comb pattern in warm and earthy colors. The main border, which tends towards raspberry, is patterned throughout with a design of stylized branches and palmettes, approx. 490,000 knots per square metre. Silk on cotton, the long edges are triple-wrapped with beige silk.
Condition: Signs of age and wear, e.g. the pile is thin overall and partially worn down to the base weave, damage to the fringes and edges.
