Original Murano Glass Bird On A Wave by Oscar Zanetti

This lot contains an original Murano glass bird on a wave by Oscar Zanetti. Zanetti is an Italian artist whose ancestor Abbott Zanetti founded the Museo del Vetro or Museum of Glass. The glass artwork comes in two parts the bird and the wave. There is a small chip in the glass on each piece where they connect. There is also a small chip on the right side of the birds tail. Together the bird and wave weigh about 23lbs. The glasswork is approx. 20 1/2" x 16". The wave is clear glass while the bird is white with golden speckles and a plum colored beak.
