Vintage rugs are unique rugs made from older Turkish and Persian hand-knotted carpets that are at least 20 to 50 years old. The rugs often come from private homes, markets and bazaars and have been carefully selected to be transformed into vintage rugs.
Each rug is washed and the pile cut down in a unique colour neutralisation process that leaves the old pattern of the rug still visible. The rug is then transformed into a completely new rug as it is re-dyed in a new and exciting light, dark or vibrant colour.
The result is an innovative fusion of traditional carpet design with a modern touch.
It is important to note that vintage carpets are still very much "alive" and change and may therefore lose some of their original color over time - a feature that adds even more to their uniqueness, charm and vintage style.
