Vintage carpets are unique carpets made from older Turkish and Persian hand-knotted carpets that are at least 20 to 50 years old. The rugs often come from private homes, markets and bazaars and are carefully selected to transform them into vintage rugs.
Each rug is washed and the pile is cut down in a unique color neutralization process that leaves the rug's old pattern still visible. The carpet is then transformed into a completely new carpet as it is recolored in a new and exciting light, dark or vibrant color.
The result is an innovative fusion of traditional carpet design with a modern touch.
It is important to note that vintage carpets are still very “alive” and change, and therefore may lose some of their original color over time - a feature that further adds to their uniqueness, charm and vintage style .
