Kilim Fars rugs are woven by the nomadic tribes of Fars Province in southwestern Iran. These flat-woven rugs are prized for their versatility, wide variety of motifs, geometric patterns and harmonious color schemes. A special weaving technique is used in weaving these kilims, giving them a thinner, almost blanket-like appearance.

Nomads originally used kilims as blankets, saddlebags, pillows and other decorative ornaments in their daily lives. Today, kilims are fashionable and sought-after items that serve as unique wall hangings, furniture upholstery, picnic blankets and bed covers and much more.
