Original Sheldrake Kit Decoy from Wildfowler Decoys

Original Sheldrake Kit Decoy from Wildfowler Decoys Quogue, L. I. with box, newspaper wrapping and shipping Label 1960. Wildfowler offered these unfinished decoys so the buyer could use his own paint patterns. The body is balsa with a maple head. The keel comes with two galvanized nails ready to be attached. The box had two shipping labels and the Newsday a L.I. paper still in publication is dated 1960. Provenance: Acquired by descent from Dr. George R. Brush, of the settling Brush family of Southold, Long Island, New York.
