Technique: Original woodblock print Artist: Kunio Kaneko (b 1949) Titled: "Birthday" Hand-signed and numbered by the artist 20/150 Japan - 2019. Condition: VERY LARGE WOODBLOCK PRINT. Full paper size : 390 x 577 mm. Good margin for framing. In very good condition, direct from the gallery of the artist. Never been framed! ! COLLECTORS ITEM ! ! The picture with the little print in as well, is just to show you how big it is. The little print is NOT part of this lot. Like Hajime Namiki, he likes to use silver or gold in the background. It really helps this playful set off koi's with there colors. You also see the use of paint instead of ink. It's a party for the eyes and mind. Just framed one myself, for my little baby boys room. About the artist : 1949 Born in Tokyo. 1972 Graduated from the Musashino University of Fine Arts. Studied under Hoshi Joichi and Sasajima Kihei. Exhibition: Many shows in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, France, and the United States. His woodblock works are all handmade by the traditional Japanese Baren. Kunio Kaneko's purpose is "Neo Japan Art" which is very traditional Japanese but reflects global views. You might know our company by now. All the work that we sell is wrapped separately and flat between hardboard and carton plates. This prevents any damage in transport. Send worldwide with tracking post insured.
