Ormolu-Mounted Japy Freres & Co. Bleu Turquin Marble

DESCRIPTION: Japy Freres & Co. Ormolu-mounted mantle clock with bleu turquin marble base and column. Face is marked "LEVY & WORMS" and numbers are blue enamel. Clock is set in gilded bronze casing with ornate scroll and foliage design and topped with a gilded bronze torch and quiver tied to a gilded bronze wreath. Clock casing rests on a bleu turquin marble column which in turn is on a raised platform of gilded foliage on a flat platform bordered by gilded foliage. Base is bleu turquin marble embellished with gilded bronze foliage motifs. Marks on movement: "JAPY FRERES & CO G[illegible] MED D'HONN EXP 18[illegible]" and "POPON A PARIS".
