Orvis, Pflueger, Clay Fishing Reels

A group of mid-20th-century fishing equipment featuring an Italian-made Orvis-100 A spinning reel and a matching Orvis 100 spinning reel. Both Orvis reels feature cast lettering on the side plates reading ORVIS-100 A and ORVIS 100 accompanied by a leaping fish graphic. The undersides of these reel housings are stamped MADE IN ITALY. The collection includes a baitcasting reel with ornate scrollwork on the side plates, which are engraved Pflueger Summit NO 1993L MADE IN USA. The reel foot is stamped PATENTED PAT'S PEND. Also present is a specialized reel featuring a white adhesive label with red and black text reading CLAY SPORTING GOODS CO. INC. PONTIAC, MICHIGAN MARABOU QUEEN Lighter than a feather! framed by a red feather border. The lot is accompanied by a variety of drawstring pouches in leather, suede, and fabric. Two suede pouches bear a printed black bulldog trademark and text for PFLUEGER SUPREME REEL NO. 1573 and PFLUEGER SUMMIT FISHING REEL models. Paperwork includes an instruction manual for a Pflueger Bait Casting Reel Model 510B Supreme. A separate cork rod handle is included, featuring a green flared base and a chrome-plated trigger grip.
