biography
Ottmar Hörl studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and under Klaus Rinke at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf. Since 1999 he has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. The German conceptual artist works with a variety of forms of expression and has become internationally known for his large-scale, limited-time projects with serially produced sculptures in public spaces. For Ottmar Hörl, art is an organizational principle and a reason for communication, it should provide food for thought and have an impact on society.
