Ottoman Caftan

This red silken Ottoman Caftan is ornately decorated with intricate golden embroidery. The embroidery forms flower and leaf-like structures from top to bottom. It has an impressive length of 150 cm, which shows it must have been made for a man of fortune. The red silk is very delicate. Over time it has suffered some tearing which have been repaired in most places. The caftan is lined with a beige, woven cotton.
