Oil on canvas painting glued on wooden panel, depicting "Our Lady of Sorrows", or "Mater Dolorosa" in Latin, with beautiful antique gilded wood frame. Subject: The traditional cult of Our Lady of Sorrows, born from the reading of the Gospels, from which the Christians have listed seven sorrows faced by Mary. Frame: The painting is inside a tabernacle frame made of carved and gilded wood. The frame is sculpted with large smooth mouldings, ending with a leaf decoration on the inside (rabbet) . Size of painting only: 52 x 39. 5 cm. Size including frame 66 x 53 cm. Condition: to be restored.
