Oushak Carpet, Turkey, 9.1 x 11.7
Second quarter-20th century; hand-knotted, wool pile on wool foundation.
Condition Report: Additional comments added on 7/21/2021: No there are no smells or stains or evidence of pets associated with this carpet. There is a small stripe of tan yarn woven in that appears toward one end, that is not a defect, it is called "Arbrash" and would happen when the weavers had to switch their spools of yarn Additional comments added on 7/19/2021: The visible wrinkles you see are a result of the rug being rolled up for a period of time and will eventually come out/settle once the rug has a chance to lay flat. In addition a rug is similar to a suede jacket in that it can appear lighter or darker at times and that is just a result of the handmade wearing process. No apparent issues. Absence of a condition statement is not indicative of lack of defect(s). Sight sale. Physical inspection recommended
