Outstanding Pre-Columbian textile fragment, stitch mounted on cloth, with printed paper label "Dr. Junius B Bird, American Museum of Natural History New York 24, New York" (Junius Bouton Bird (1907–1982), born in Rye, New York, was an American archaeologist who was appointed curator of South American Archaeology at the American Museum of Natural History in 1934), descending from Albert Shaw (1857- 1947), Author, Historian, Editor of the Review of Reviews, member of the American Antiquarian Society, actual size 25" x 10", overall size on board 30" x 15", extremely fragile
