Oval Shaped Jade Plaque, Spring and Autumn Period

春秋晚期 玉雕蟠虺紋橢圓佩A Chinese oval-shaped jade plaque dating from the Spring and Autumn period. The plaque is carved on 1 side with an interlocking ruyi motif and on the other with 2 dragon heads.

Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 1 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: It is in good condition.

Provenance: From a private collector in Honolulu, HI. A jade plaque from the late Spring and Autumn period of the same shape, is illustrated in _Zhong Guo Yu Qi Quan Ji_, Vol. 3, Hebei: Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, 1993, pl. 25 (fig. 1).
