probably Brienz/Switzerland, c1870, massive walnut with very fine detailed carving, depiction of a capital stag with its hind, surrounded by trees and fern, among them a quail, the clock face with separately cast enamel cartouches and blue Roman numerals, pendulum movement with half-hour strike on bell, working, very good condition, height 110 cm.
