Spectacular pair of enamels, signed by P. Bonnaud, an artist specialized in this technique. Coming from the private collection of Doña Teresa Cañaréis de Marshall, these two devotional paintings of Saint Catherine and Penitent Magdalene are a clear example of the use of vibrant colours typical of his work. The sweetness and care with which these two women are treated, remind us of the Madonnas by Rafael, from the care of the brushstroke, to the treatment of expressions and faces.
