Condition Report:
It has not been possibly to examine the work out of its frame. Executed on dark yellow wove paper. The sheet is undulating and is light stained with a few scattered dots of foxing. Collage elements are stable, partially unglued, wavy and light stained. Extreme edges of the collage elements are partially deckled. The edges of the collage elements' holes are darker, probably consistent with the artistic process. There is some light discolouration to the centre of all collage elements, possibly inherent to glue. Left bird: there is a small tear (approx. 0.7 cm long) to the upper part of the tail and a repaired tear (approx. 1 cm long) to the beak. Right bird: there is a small repaired tear (approx. 1.5 cm long) to the centre of its proper right wing. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
