PABLO PICASSO | VISAGE
PABLO PICASSO (1881 - 1973)
VISAGE
painted, incised and partially glazed ceramic; tomette (floor tile)
20 by 39.5cm., 7⅞ by 15½in.
This work is unique.
Claude Picasso has confirmed the authenticity of this work.
Condition Report:
The ceramic is sound. There are a number of inconsistencies in the surface, almost all of which are inherent to the tile. Apart from some tiny paint losses to some of the unglazed black pigment, and some surface dirt and general minor wear in places, consistent with age and handling, this work is in overall very good condition.
Provenance:
Estate of the artist
Marina Picasso (the artist’s granddaughter; acquired from the above)
