PAINTED SUITE OF FURNITURE,

Louis XV, signed J.E. ST. GEORGES (Jean Etienne Saint–Georges, maître 1747), Paris ca. 1750.

Comprising : 1 three–seater canapé "corbeille", 1 bergère, and 3 fauteuils "en cabriolet". Beech, exquisitely carved with flowers, foliage, cartouches and decorative frieze, and polychrome painted. Dark blue velour cover and polychrome silk cover, with strong signs of wear. Some with cushions. Paintwork with chips and restored in part over the old paintwork.

Canapé 190x68x44x97 cm. Bergère 90x52x43x100 cm. Fauteuils 73x44x43x94 cm.
