PAINTED WHITNEY REED CO. HOBBY HORSE: Early Whitney Reed Co. hand-carved swinging glider horse with leather saddle and cantle, leather ears, and original horsehair mane. Painted wood form mounted with cast iron hardware atop red stenciled base. Circa 1895/1915. With numbered "Manufactured by Whitney Reed Corporation Leominster, Mass." label affixed underneath. Approx. 34" h x 41" w x 15" d.

Condition Report: Missing tail; split in leather saddle. Age-appropriate wear to leather, paint, and wood including natural cracks.
