Pair of high-backed walnut Queen Anne side chairs having a shaped crest, curved back splat flanked by caned panels, plank seat with William Morris type cushion,pillow and rising on front cabriolelegs. Unmarked. Approx. h. 43.75", w. 19.25", d. 16"; seat h. 18.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Jack Warner / The Warner Foundation, Tuscaloosa, AL.
Condition Report: Stable cracks to crests previous repairs with areas of replacements (near legs); scuffs to feet; plank seats are later with the panels being inset into the frames, evidence of an earlier caned seat to the underside of the frames; frames are stable.
