PAIR IMPRESSIVE CHINESE CARVED JADE CRANES. Comprising a pair of matching large and impressive cranes, the bodies covered with a profusion of overlapping carved jade feathers and tail feathers on solid carved legs and feet, and with solid one-piece carved jade heads. Resting on matching carved stepped wooden bases, height of each crane 63.5 inches, overall height including base 78.75 inches. Some losses to tail feathers.

An identical pair can be seen in the furnishings of the home of Ava Gardner in the 2004 film The Aviator with Leonardo Dicaprio.
