PAIR LOUIS XV STYLE GILT BRONZE CANDELABRAS, WIRED
Ornate and rare pair of ormolu candelabras in the French Rococo Revival style, once wired as electric lamps. Apparently unmarked, in the manner of Francois Linke or Robert Freres. Dimensions: H 23" x Dia. 13.5" Condition: Once modified for electricity; each candelabra cut into four segments which screw into a central tube; one candelabra's segments have been re-welded or fused together; the other is still in pieces. Topmost candle cups with holes drilled for wire. Otherwise showing normal wear including rubbing and losses to gilding, patina to metal.
