Pair of Continental, possibly French, walnut side chairs in the Regence Rococo taste, 19th-20th century, each having a shaped frame with shell crest, caned back and seat, and rising on cabriole legs with scroll and die feet, crayon and stenciled numeric marks to the undersides, but otherwise apparently unmarked.
Approximate dimensions: h. 37", w. 18", d. 18.5"; seat h. 19.25".
Condition Report: Previous restorations to the legs of one, no breaks to caning, evidence of previous worming (inactive), frames are structurally sound.
