PAIR OF ENGLISH LEATHERCORDITE BUCKETS, (updated 4/26/2024) cylindrical-form, both featuring the British Royal Crest to fronts, both bear impressed manufacturer's mark on the base and dates of manufacture 1933 and 1943, respectively. British. 20th century. Largest 15 3/4" HOA, 9" D. Catalogue Note: Cordite cases were made to carry propellant charges, or "cordites". Many of these were sold for household use after being used in the British military, often the cases were altered and decals added.
