PAIR OF FERDINAND BARBEDIENNE (FRENCH, 1810-1892) DORE BRONZE AND CHAMPLEVE FOUR-LIGHT CANDELABRA, in the Classical Revivalist manner featuring masks, medallions, paw feet, and bands of polychrome champleve decoration, each signed at base, each currently mounted on a painted wooden base, likely later and drilled as though outfitted for a lamp. Fourth quarter 19th century. Each 24 3/4" HOA.
Condition Report: Very good overall condition with very minor scattered wear, slightly heavier to base. Painted wooden bases likely later (once lamped). Old repair to thinnest point of standard on one example. Loss to one bobeche, and one is an old replacement. Loss to one small enameled medallion on the arm of one example.
