PAIR OF "GREYFRIARS BOBBY" BRASS CANDLESTICKS
Two brass candlesticks in the form of Greyfriars Bobby, a 19th C Scottish skye terrier who became famous for spending a decade or more guarding the grave of his owner. The dog is seated up on his hind legs holding a strap in his mouth to support the candlestick, each with stone red eyes. Both candlesticks are raised on a red, stepped marble base.
